Can you smell November sweeps? Two of CBS' biggest hits are participating in one of network television's favorite stunts - the crossover episode! Jack Malone (Anthony LaPaglia) visits Gil Grissom (William Petersen) on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" Thursday at 9 p.m. on WBZ (Ch. 4). Gil returns the favor by stopping by "Without a Trace" at 10.

Today Nov. 4

CBS' "The Amazing Race" is back for a 12th season at 8 p.m. on WBZ. The Emmy Award-winning series returns sooner than expected. It replaces "Viva Laughlin," which lasted only two episodes. Eleven teams travel, bicker and barter their way across 30,000 miles and five countries, including Ireland, Lithuania and Croatia.

He's finally done it: In the 100th episode of Fox's "Family Guy" at 9 p.m. on WFXT (Ch. 25), Stewie kills his mother in an episode appropriately titled "Stewie Kills Lois." The show is preceded by a 30-minute retrospective at 8:30.

Tomorrow Nov. 5

Michael (Wentworth Miller) wants proof that Sara is still alive on a two-hour episode of Fox's "Prison Break" at 8 p.m. on WFXT. That's not going to go well.

Everybody's favorite preschooler wants to get children involved in saving the environment in the animated movie "Dora Saves the Mermaids" at 7 p.m. on Nickelodeon.

Tuesday Nov. 6

It's bring your wife to work day on ABC's "Carpoolers." Last season, Jerry O'Connell stopped by "Ugly Betty." Now Rebecca Romijn returns the favor. She plays Laird's (O'Connell) crazy ex-wife Joannifer at 8:30 p.m. on WCVB (Ch. 5).

Get your manicured nails ready for a catfight. "The Real Housewives of Orange County" returns for a third season at 10 p.m. on Bravo. New housewife Tamra Barney, 39, joins returning housewives Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough, Lauri Waring and Tammy Knickerbocker.

Wednesday Nov. 7

The question isn't who is performing on "The 41st Annual CMA Awards" at 8 p.m. on WCVB. The question is, who isn't? The Country Music Association has invited everyone to the party, including Big & Rich, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts.

Enrique Iglesias and CBS already made beautiful music together this season when the singer played Robin's Latin lover on "How I Met Your Mother." Now he'll perform "Somebody's Me" on "The Young & the Restless" at 12:30 p.m. on WBZ.

Thursday Nov. 8

Does this mean he's finally over Rachel? David Schwimmer guests on NBC's "30 Rock" at 8:30 p.m. on WHDH. As part of NBC's weeklong "Green Is Universal" environment theme week, Jack (Alec Baldwin) creates an eco-friendly mascot called Greenzo. Al Gore and Meredith Vieira cameo.

Meredith's daddy issues continue on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy." Jeff Perry returns as Thatcher Grey at 9 p.m. on WCVB. Meanwhile, George and Izzie try to find time for an intimate moment. May I suggest a supply closet or an elevator? That seems to work for the rest of the randy doctors.
