juno trailer

The Juno trailer has arrived.

Juno comes from the creative mind of wunderkind Diablo Cody, is directed by Jason Reitman, and stars Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, and Jason Bateman among others.

MCN's David Poland has teased the film by saying: "Take one part Rushmore and two parts Ghost World and mix with Mean Girls and you get Juno, a very arch comedy about a teen girl who takes being a pregnant teen somewhere often unexpected."

How can anybody pass up a flick with that kind of pedigree, I ask you? After showing at the Toronto Film Festival, many proclaimed it to be this year's Little Miss Sunshine.

And the preview does not disappoint either. Has witty, hip, and warm written all over it. Don't be surprised to see a Mott The Hoople renaissance once this movie hits.

Random factoid: "All The Young Dudes" was actually written by David Bowie.

The interwebz abuzz with the first trailer of the Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking) directed indie flick Juno. If the bloggers are right, then this little picture will become this year's Little Miss Sunshine and reap the glory come award season― and after viewing the trailer, it's safe to see why they would think that. Quirky lead- Ellen Page, clueless boyfriend- Michael Cera, goofy indie/hippy parents- Spider-Man's boss and the smart girl from The West Wing and … well, you get the idea.

The ingredients are all there and the film, in my opinion, will either come across as brilliantly charming (Garden State) or hideously, I-want-to-smash-everyone-in-the-face annoying (Napoleon Dynamite). You can peep the trailer after the jump.

Having caused a bit of a stir at recent film festivals, Juno will see its limited release in the United States starting December 14th. Go indie pic go!
