Ninon Gamarra, a University of Arkansas senior from La Paz, Bolivia, is the winner of the 2007 Greeting Card Contest sponsored by DaySpring and the Arkansas Alumni Association. The art major received $1,000 cash and will accompany DaySpring representatives to visit Hallmark headquarters in Kansas City, Mo. DaySpring cards is owned by Hallmark.

Gamarra said she was excited to see the contest advertisement in her residence hall because she would like to pursue a career at Hallmark after she graduates in December 2007. During the contest, undergraduate students were asked to submit entries in drawing, painting, graphic design or photography with a winter or holiday theme related to the University of Arkansas or the Alumni Association. As the winner, Gamarra also will receive 50 printed cards and recognition in Arkansas magazine.
